The Lyme Basturd

“The Lyme Basturd” put simply is the name of the school bus that Mux Blank lives and travels out of. Mux bought the bus from a friend for $300, and has been living out of it ever since. The name comes from the city of Lyme, CT (pronounced: lime) where it was originally used to shuttle their aging and disabled around. But to make the bus name sound more pirate-like Mux pronounces the name as “limey”. “Basturd” comes from the troubles the bus caused Mux when he first got it… much hair was pulled out over the stress of getting the bus fixed and road ready. A couple of times Mux even got stuck out of town due to mechanical issues.

The Lyme Basturd is in the process of being built out with: multiple beds, closets, a couch like bench seat, overhead cabinets, a kitchenette with a sink and stove top, storage compartments, crafting work bench, and so many more little details… soon we will begin the work of gluing baby doll heads to the outside of the bus covering it from front to back in art-car fashion. one day Mux hopes to build it into a road-side sideshow museum and “Curiosities & Oddities” exhibit that houses Mr. Blank’s collection of weird and horrifyingly strange objects. Pay a dollar and see the monstrosities of nature, the byproducts of our modern lifestyles!

Mux shares his bus home with his ever faithful buddy “Frank the Dancing Dog” who likes to travel with Mux and anyone else who decides to ride along.
